Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager at Google Cloud, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary robotics and automation projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include developing and executing deployment strategies, managing relationships with vendors, monitoring system performance, and leading change management initiatives. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate across teams. A strong understanding of robotics technology, automation principles, and industry best practices is essential. The role requires excellent project management, communication, and influencing skills to drive collaboration and ensure successful project delivery within large-scale, complex environments like data centers or warehouses.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in robotics automation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in deploying robotic automation solutions within large-scale, complex environments, within data centers or warehouses.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive collaboration across teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute deployment strategies for robotic automation projects, encompassing project scope, timelines, resources, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop an understanding of robotics technology, automation principles, and industry best practices.
  • Manage relationships with robotics vendors, including agreement negotiations, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of deployed robotic systems, identify opportunities for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
  • Lead change management initiatives to facilitate adoption of new robotic systems, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
