Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer (Intune), you'll own, troubleshoot, and resolve complex customer technical issues related to Microsoft Intune and other related technologies. You'll act as a customer advisor, collaborating across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools. Responsibilities include leading community building, knowledge sharing, technical coaching, and mentoring. You'll also contribute to product improvement by engaging with engineering teams and developing automation techniques. This hybrid role requires weekend/after-hours on-call support. Experience with WSUS, SMS, SCCM, Active Directory, networking concepts, IIS, and basic debugging skills is essential. Experience with Exchange, SCCM, mobile device management, Azure, and Office 365 is desirable.
Must have:
  • 3+ years' experience in technical support or IT
  • Experience with WSUS, SMS, SCCM, and Intune
  • Strong OS and networking concepts
  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with Exchange, SCCM, Azure, and Office 365
  • Mobile device management and app deployment experience
  • Knowledge of cloud services and mobile device OS

In the Customer Service & Support (CSS) team we are looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success. As a Technical Support Engineer you will own, troubleshoot and solve complex customer technical issues. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

Required Qulification:
• 3+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
• Experience in WSUS, SMS, SCCM 2007 , 2012 and Microsoft Intune
• Operating Systems Concepts – Active Directory, Security, OS Internals
• Networking concepts – DNS, protocols, Devices
• IIS Concepts – Configuration, ISAPI, Architecture, SSL and Kerberos
• Exception Handling
• Memory Management concepts
• Tools – Netmon, Perfmon, SQL Profiler
• Basic debugging skills
• Basic SQL Server Administration concepts
• Strong knowledge of: any Windows OS, Mobile device OS, Client, Server knowledge, understanding of Cloud services

Experience in one or more of these areas desirable:
• Exchange, SCCM, Mobile device configuration and app deployment
• Cloud products like Azure, Office 365
• Mobile device management tools and programming knowledge
• Mobile Device Management product , Mobile Application Management product experience

 

 

This position requires weekend or after hour on-call upon business needs.

 


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

• You own, investigate and solve complex customer technical issues and act as a advisor to the customer, collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices

• You lead in building communities with peer delivery roles and share your knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching and mentoring of others.
• You deepen your technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve complex customer issues, through training and readiness.

 

Product/Process Improvement
• You engage with Microsoft Engineering/ Supportability teams to investigate potential product defects and help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools driving Microsoft product improvements
