Job Description

The Google Maps Platform Territory Manager in Dublin, Ireland, focuses on identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within the SMB market. Responsibilities include developing and executing business plans to exceed sales goals, conducting customer discovery to understand needs, presenting solutions, and collaborating with partners and internal teams. This role requires managing the sales pipeline, forecasting accurately, negotiating agreements, staying updated on industry trends, and communicating customer feedback to product teams. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of new customer acquisition in the technology sector. Experience with APIs, cloud services, and the SMB market is preferred. The role also involves representing Google Cloud at industry events.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of closing experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) businesses, with new customer acquisition.
  • Experience in technology business with new customer acquisition.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Application programming interface (APIs) and web development concepts.
  • Experience in promoting Cloud-based services.
  • Experience in exceeding business goals.
  • Knowledge of Google Maps Platform and its capabilities.
  • Knowledge of the SMB market.

The Google Cloud Small/Medium Businesses (SMB) team focuses on working with small and medium-sized businesses, startups, and digital native customers.

In this role, you will help grow Google Cloud business directly and via partners. You will bring opportunities through the full business process, while delivering the quality customer experience.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the SMB market for Google Maps Platform. Develop and execute business plans to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual business goals.
  • Conduct discovery to understand customer needs and specific requirements. Present compelling solutions with clear differentiation and business outcomes in focus.
  • Collaborate with partners and internal teams, including core promoters, marketing, programs, and product go-to-market to build and manage a business pipeline, tracking progress and forecasting accurately. Maintain records of business activities and customer interactions within Salesforce.
  • Negotiate agreements and pricing agreements. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and engaging offerings.
  • Communicate customer needs and industry patterns back to Google Maps product teams to influence our roadmap. Represent Google Cloud and Google Maps Platform professionally at industry events and conferences.
