Job Description

As an Account Executive at Google Cloud, you will build relationships with customers, manage complex sales cycles, identify solution use cases, and influence long-term business direction. You'll achieve and exceed sales goals, forecasting and reporting on your territory's performance. Collaboration with internal teams (Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, etc.) is crucial for developing Go-to-Market strategies, driving pipeline growth, and ensuring excellent customer experience. You'll develop and execute business plans, focusing on building accounts across key industries. The role involves managing multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously, understanding their technology footprints and strategies to help them transform their businesses using Google Cloud technologies. Fluency in English and French is essential for client relationship management.
Must have:
  • 7+ years enterprise software/cloud sales experience
  • Business intelligence technology promotion experience
  • Data & analytics expertise, enterprise client management
  • Fluent English & French communication
  • Quota attainment & exceeding business goals
  • Building and managing long-term executive relationships
Good to have:
  • Developing territories/accounts from scratch
  • Working with internal/external teams for software estate inventory & transformation
  • Prioritizing and planning business activity in complex cycles
  • Knowledge of Cloud, BI, Data & Analytics technologies (BigQuery, Looker, etc.)

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Experience promoting business intelligence technologies to clients.
  • Experience in data and analytics, with enterprise client management.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience carrying and exceeding business goals in a sales role.
  • Experience supporting long-term executive relationships, and developing territories/accounts from scratch, while ensuring customer success, adoption and expansion.
  • Experience working with internal/external teams to inventory existing software estate, build cases for transformation with implementation plans, and close agreements.
  • Experience prioritizing, planning, and organizing business activity within complex business cycles, including qualifying accounts and leveraging partner ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of trends, products, solutions (including practical experience) in Cloud, BI, Data and Analytics (BI front end, data analytics middleware, backend data warehouse technologies, BigQuery, Looker, Data proc, Pub/Sub).

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, manage complex business cycles, identify solution use cases, and influence long-term business direction of accounts.
  • Deliver against quota and achieve or exceed business and growth goals while forecasting and report your territory’s business.
  • Work with Google accounts and cross-functional teams (e.g. Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Channels) to develop Go-to-Market strategies, drive pipeline and business growth, close agreements, represent the customer, and provide excellent prospect and customer experience.
  • Develop and execute business plans, including a broader enterprise plan across key industries, and focus on building accounts.
  • Work with multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously, understand each customer’s technology footprint and strategy, growth plans, business drivers, competitors, and how they can transform their business using the technologies.
