Job Title: UI Programmer
Location: Canada (Remote - Within Pacific Time Zone (PST) to Eastern Time Zone (EST))
Rate: $40- $50/hour CAD
Employment Type: Freelance
Position – UI Programmer
We are looking for a UI Programmer to join the Lakshya Digital team. The UI Programmer will help design and implement new menus and HUDs while building a solid and performant UI toolkit for the UI/UX artists. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, their work will enable the highest quality UI/UX experience for our players.
Reporting
The UI Programmer will report to the Technical Program Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain a UI toolkit used by UI/UX artists.
- Develop, implement, and maintain various menus and HUDs (2D & 3D).
- Develop optimized UI software solutions tailored to the UI engine.
- Document UI systems and define UI standard methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a UI programmer.
- Excellent C++ coding and debugging skills with experience in code optimization.
- Familiarity with UI/UX concepts.
- Interest in working on various UI-related tasks, including UI engine tasks.
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment while prioritizing your own workload.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing with Unreal Engine.
- Experience working with other UI middleware.
- UI development experience on console (PlayStation) and PC platforms.
- Live game experience.
- Educational background in software ergonomics.
