- Manage core team members (Junior, Senior, Art Leads, Art Supervisors) within projects
- Set development paths and goals for the team and its members.
- Set training objective and goals for Artist
- Identify strengths and weaknesses within the team and projects. Provide solutions and feedback to help drive improvements.
- Translate and interpret style guides, feedback, and reference material into meaningful direction and tasks for the team.
- Ensure Artist(s) have a clear, concise artistic vision to follow in crafting vehicle assets with accuracy and precision.
- Provide meaningful feedback and guidance in achieving final results.
- Ensure assets meet Client quality and delivery expectations.
- Follow latest industry techniques and best practices in providing support for the team and Clients.
- Participation and assistance in resource allocation, estimations, and task tracking.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams and partners when it is necessary.
- Participate in regular open communication channels with Client and Partners via email, conference calls, and chat channels.
- 5+ years of industry experience creating 3D hard and organic surface assets for AAA and Mobile games.
- 2+ years of team leadership/supervisory experience.
- Bachelor Degree in Arts or related field of experience.
- Advance proficiency in 1 or more DCC tools (ie. Maya, Blender, 3DSMax, Painter, and etc).
- General knowledge and use of one or more commercial engines such as Unity3D or Unreal is a plus
- Proficiency in research and reference gathering.
- Proficiency in interpreting ideas and instructions based on design briefs and reference material.
- Intermediate to advance level understanding of Art Production workflows.
- Intermediate to advance level understanding of surface (Hard + Soft) topology and modeling.
- Intermediate to advance level of understanding in manufacturing and fabrication techniques used in production of a product.
- Ability to interpret organic and hard surface forms in design.
- General understanding of stylized and realistic art.
- General understanding of team dynamics and how each member contributes to a project.
- Intermediate level communication in written or spoken English
