Job Description
The Video Streaming Specialist (VSS) at Google's gTech Professional Services plays a crucial role in supporting Google's largest video and broadcaster partners. This position focuses on Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) and ad serving for OTT streaming, providing expert support for live events and video-on-demand. Responsibilities involve delivering solutions to video publishers, optimizing business growth, providing technical support and troubleshooting, improving product offerings through feedback, and ensuring timely status updates to stakeholders. The role requires interaction with customers, internal teams (Product Management, Engineering), and external partners to ensure the successful delivery and performance of Google's video streaming products. The VSS team is at the forefront of video innovation within Google.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- System design or programming experience (Java, C++, Python)
- Technical troubleshooting skills
- Partner/customer management experience
- Deliver solutions to video publishers
- Support Google's DAI business
Good to have:
- Experience supporting broadcasters in live streaming
- OTT streaming device troubleshooting
- Communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in system design or in programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
- Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in supporting broadcasters in live streaming or developer operations positions.
- Experience troubleshooting Over-the-Top (OTT) steaming devices.
- Ability to absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.

Video Streaming Specialists (VSS) team members interact with customers and Google’s Business, Product and Engineering teams to support Google’s suite of video products. Responsibilities
- Deliver solutions to video publishers.
- Identify, drive, and optimize business growth from partners and ad-networks by leveraging Google technologies.
- Provide support for Google’s Dynamic Ad Insertion business as part of a global team to ensure prompt and proper resolution of customer impacting technical tests.
- Improve product offerings by providing feedback on customer and serviceability needs to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
- Provide internal and external stakeholders with appropriate, timely, and accurate customer and project status updates.
