2D Artist

Responsibilities:

• Produce compelling, original concept artworks, design and ideas that will be brought to the next level of production, all adhering to the goal of Design through communication
• Collaborate with the Art Director and 2D artists to finalize rendered illustrations for each project. Provides artwork for review at appropriate stages and applies feedback accordingly, with quick turnaround.
• Ensure rendered 2D assets are technically compliant to the needs of Animators and Tech Artists, takes revision as necessary while still meeting quality standards
• Project, manage, and  maintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative work.
• Manage workload and milestone requirements by following and/or determining task priorities, time estimates, and scope while proactively raising issues to the team as needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years practical art/design experience working in interactive media or graphic design (or a strong portfolio equivalent)
• Expert Adobe Photoshop skills w/ strong painting and rendering skills
• Ability to render artwork of the highest quality possible, adaptable in a variety of art styles and ultimately produce artworks designed for animation
• Solid understanding of Art and Design fundamentals (color theory, shape language, composition, etc.), all applied to character and environment design, props, UI, and similar aspects of video game design visuals.
• Strong problem-solving methodology
• Able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with all development disciplines: Programming, Art, Design, and Production.
• High work ethics and open-minded attitude with excellent communication skills in English, including the ability to give, receive, and solicit constructive written, verbal, and other feedback.

Pluses

• Experienced illustrator who has an overlapping knowledge of Unity art implementation and 2d animation packages
• Solid storytelling skills: From storyboards, layouts and composition
• Good understanding of how animation/and or motion graphics and its art requirements will be super awesome
• Loves video games and making them!
• A shipped title that includes your work would be really awesome
