The CD&S Commercials Manager, based in Singapore, will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing client relationships and establishing new ones to promote CME Group's products and services to APAC regional corporates and global corporate firms. The role involves active account management, developing new client relationships to meet revenue targets, managing accounts, CRM reporting, sales pipeline management, campaign management, cross-selling, and executing the regional sales strategy. Responsibilities include generating new business, identifying growth opportunities across CME Group's asset classes, deepening engagement with key clients, participating in sales strategy development, working with internal business functions, developing a solid understanding of CME business lines to enhance cross-selling, and acting as a contact point with industry associations. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, head of APAC CD&S Commercials segment.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of sales/client facing experience in financial services
  • Strong understanding of APAC Commercial landscape

  • Proficient with Salesforce and Google Workspace
  • Self-starter with commercial acumen and collaborative mindset
  • Strong interpersonal/communication/presentation skills
  • Fluent in English

Job Details

Role Description: Based in Singapore, the CD&S Commercials Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing client relationships and establishing new relationships to promote CME Group's products and services to APAC regional corporates and the APAC offices of global corporate firms.

Sales activity will primarily consist of active account management within a portfolio of existing commercial clients, while also including development of new client relationships in the APAC region that will contribute to the overall regional segment revenue target.

As part of the CD&S team, the Manager will be responsible for account management, CRM reporting, sales pipeline management, campaign management, cross referral and cross selling, and execution of the regional CD&S Commercials sales strategy and growth initiatives.

This role will report directly to the Senior Director, head of APAC CD&S Commercials segment.


The position will be responsible for:

  • Generating new business from existing and prospective clients by building awareness of the value proposition of CME Group’s platforms, products and services

  • Identify and execute growth opportunities across all CME Group asset classes (commodity and financial) by promoting the Exchange’s listed derivatives and cash product offerings to commercial firms.

  • Managing existing client relationships, deepening engagement with key client stakeholders / decision makers to drive commercial outcomes.

  • Participating in the development and effective execution of the regional Commercial sales strategy. Utilize CRM systems to record and track sales activity and client engagement.

  • Working closely with internal business functions: Product, Marketing, Education, Research, Clearing etc to promote and position CME Group’s products and services.

  • Developing a solid understanding of all CME business lines, including Data, to help facilitate cross product development and enhance cross selling opportunities with relevant firms.

  • Acting as a contact point with relevant industry associations to build deeper engagement within the community, participating in relevant industry conferences and events.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales and/or client facing experience within the front office of a financial services firm - either at an exchange operator, bank, broker, corporate or technology vendor.

  • Possessing pre-existing relevant client relationships within the Commercials segment is an advantage.

  • Possess a strong understanding of the APAC Commercial landscape and a detailed understanding of Metals, Energy, Ag Product exchange traded Futures and Options, plus financial asset classes and data.

  • Proven ability to build a sales pipeline and convert leads into revenue opportunities.

  • Analytical mindset - ability to analyze information, identify problems and trends, and solve complex problems.

  • Proficient with Salesforce, Google Workspace and data analytics.

  • Self-starter with commercial acumen and a collaborative mindset. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal / communication / presentation skills.

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another analytic discipline preferred.

  • Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred
