Job Description

Paytm, India's leading mobile payments and financial services company, seeks an Associate/Senior Associate for Fraud & Risk Operations. The role involves reviewing alerts triggered by fraud and risk parameters, documenting analysis outcomes accurately, and identifying patterns and trends. Responsibilities include coordinating with merchants via calls and emails, performing reviews to prevent fraudulent activity, analyzing transaction data, managing risk cases, and refining key risk indicators. The position requires analyzing data to identify insights into merchant transaction behavior and potential risk trends, translating these into risk strategies. The candidate will also handle CDD/EDD of merchants and conduct detailed investigations in adverse transaction surveillance. The role requires flexibility for rotational shifts.

About the team Fraud & Risk Operations Associate / Sr. Associate

About the role: Review, Handle the alerts triggered based on the predefined parameters from the Fraud, Risk perspective.  
Document the details, analysis outcome, information accurately and thoroughly in the company's system. 
Analyze gathered information to identify patterns and trends.
Provide feedback and insights to internal teams based on gathered information.

Expectations/ Requirements: Any Graduate 


Analyzing data to identify insights in merchant transaction behavior or potential risk trend and translate these insights into risk strategies and roadmaps.
Coordinate with merchant through calls, mails to review and conclude the alerts logically. 
Perform a review and challenge control, identification, and prevention of potentially fraudulent activity.
Work on alerts, automated workflow, and management reporting to support the monitoring and fraud detection process.
Coordinate with Internal & external stakeholders 
Conduct analysis of transaction data across merchant sites, providing insight into trends and customer behavior.
Manage risk cases covering the investigation and follow-up within the defined time frame.
Analysis to refine and improve key risk indicators used in the platform (including definition and acceptance testing).
Identify opportunities for improving data quality, reducing noise and false positives reported by internal quality teams.
Conduct an open source search to find relevant information to complete the investigation and review.
Capture information and documents and information from internal systems/teams as per established norms of banks’ KYC policy.
CDD/EDD of merchants, including periodic review of the line of business and other information available on the merchant/KYC.
Ability to conduct a detailed investigation in adverse/ Negative transaction surveillance/Monitoring.
To be flexible to work on rotational shifts.
