Let’s Talk About The Role

The Associate Localization Specialist is a supporting role that is crucial to produce high-quality localized product content for our customers around the globe. As part of the Customer Experience (CX) group, you will collaborate with many internal and external stakeholders to create localized product content that is well considered, desirable and usable. Content will be localized in a personalized, culturally aligned and consistent way across all products and services. You will help ensure that our overall customer interactions with our brand are meaningful, engaging and aligned with our customer needs and expectations in their locale.

To ensure success in this role, you will demonstrate a passion for customer-centricity, excellent relationship skills, keen attention to detail, strong time management skills, and a solid understanding of translation management systems, localization processes and industry terminology.

This position requires you to handle many deliverables at the same time, in a fast-paced development environment. You will also need excellent interpersonal communication skills, allowing you to effectively build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, regional reviewers and translation agencies.

  • Optimize content for localization (for example, identify maximum character lengths for UI labels or identify non-translatable text). Localized content includes UI labels, voice recording scripts, closed captions, eHelp, guides and other deliverables.
  • Follow established localization and brand guidelines.
  • Manage the localization of content for target markets.
  • Effectively communicate with the translation agencies, regional reviewers, product teams and other stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot localization issues.
  • Raise purchase requests for translations.


Let’s Talk About You

  • University degree/college diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • A minimum of one year of experience in ordering/managing translations, preferably in a software environment related to healthcare
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand complex software
  • Ability to attend in-office activities


It would be a plus if you have:

  • Software UI localization experience
  • Knowledge of translation management systems, such as Lokalise, Memsource, Smartling, Phrase or Transifex
  • Fluency in a language other than English
  • Translation experience
  • Familiarity with XML formats, such as XLIFF
