Support an iconic Australian brand as they seek to replace and modernise core trading and clearing platforms.
You will be working on the latest technologies (AWS, Java Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka) in a greenfield project building out new digital experiences and core trading capability for this major financial institution.
You are a practitioner/team member of the Quality Engineering & Testing Capability Community of Practice (CoP).
Reviewing requirements and specifications and independently creating test cases based on these, mapping back to pre-determined criteria.
Design, code, verify, amend and refactor test automation code and scripts.
Apply agreed standards and tools, to achieve well-engineered results.
Collaborate in reviews of work with other team members.
Interpreting, executing and documenting test scripts, analysing results and maintaining a defect register.
Provide reports on progress, anomalies and risks & issues associated with assigned tasks.
Support and implement Software Testing Policy and Guidelines within the context of the assigned work and tools used and create and maintain documentation relevant to this.
Being an active member of the QE&T Community of Practice (CoP).
Must have
7-9+ years of hands on experience
Worked in an environment with a structured test process, performing automated System and System Integration testing.
Created and maintained automated test code and scripts, run automated tests and interpreted & reviewed results from automated
test runs.
Had exposure to testing at the UI and the API level.
Worked as part of an agile, cross-functional team.
Experience in C#/.NET programming.
Knowledge of or hands-on experience with CI related processes and tools.
Experience using Atlassian tools like JIRA, confluence, bit bucket etc. to create test artefacts.
Nice to have
Knowledge of Financial markets including products and transaction lifecycles.
Experience with Cucumber or Specflow.
Exposure to non-functional testing, such as performance and load testing.
Exposure to SQL query writing and have basic database skills.
Capital markets domain experience.
Experience with testing micro-services and/or container-based architectures.
Knowledge of messaging protocols, such as FpML, SWIFT or FIX.
Exposure to XML or other message parsing.
