Backend Engineer

Wanna Join the Adventure? Mission Management Services (MMS) team. The role will be developing software for the services we use to build out our spacecraft and constellation scheduling. This allows us to create optimal timeframes and scenarios for our clients to access their payloads, and the data they collect. This is an exciting opportunity as it is working on cutting edge technology, helping build modern automated infrastructure, where software is the centre piece. As well as developing our future systems, the role will also be working on real-time issues on live missions, helping to solve problems as they occur. On top of this we also offer Sat Dev Ops training to enable this person to actually operate our spacecraft! About This Role:

• Writing code - developing our services
• Scheduling across the constellation
• Optimising the schedules
• Simulation of the onboard systems
• Deconfliction of operations (collisions)
• Contributing to open source libraries
• Provide support with using cockpit internally
• S/C Ops - everybody is involved

Must Haves:

• Python
• Docker
• Web development backend frameworks experience
• API design

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with scheduling concepts
• Space Flight Dynamics experience
• Django
• Graph QL
• Database interactions
• Kubernetes
