About the role
Maersk is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Product Owner to bridge the gap between business and technology, transforming data into actionable BI products that drive business value and enhance decision-making processes across the Finance and other functions within our Ocean and Logistics portfolios.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in establishing a data-driven culture, improving business performance, and supporting strategic decisions, such as pricing and routing, through BI solutions focused on Standard Cost and Estimated Yield calculations.
You should possess a blend of technical business intelligence expertise and a strategic, company-wide mindset, with strong business partnering skills and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Ownership: Manage the roadmap and daily backlog for Standard Cost and Estimated Yield calculation BI products.
Requirement Management: Drive BI requirements by developing product backlogs and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
Solution Design: Design and deploy BI solutions to deliver clear business and financial insights that meet organizational needs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Pricing team to gather requirements and create sustainable solutions aligned with their vision.
Analytical Support: Conduct and request in-depth analysis to support ad-hoc decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Scope Definition: Define product scope, priorities, and requirements, communicating plans clearly to key stakeholders.
Prototyping: Develop mock-ups and prototypes for new BI solutions to demonstrate functionality and gather feedback.
Data Optimization: Model and optimize datasets for frontend use, ensuring smooth self-service reporting capabilities.
Business Impact: Provide insights and influence business decisions with data-driven solutions.
Documentation: Maintain functional and technical documentation for owned BI products, ensuring clarity and consistency.
Data Consistency: Advocate for a unified, consistent approach to data management with a single set of numbers.
What are we looking for:
Degree in finance, econometrics, business engineering, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in analytical roles, finance business partnering, or performance management.
Project management experience and familiarity with agile working and scrum management.
Proven experience in business intelligence, visual analytics, or data science.
Proficiency with tools like SQL, Databricks, Dataiku DSS, Python, R, or similar.
Strong partnership skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and communicating information accurately.
A mix of technical expertise and business knowledge to drive product innovation at scale.
