Job Description

As a Commercial Sales Specialist at Microsoft, you'll act as a trusted advisor, determining how commercial licensing and contracting should be modified to best meet customer needs. You'll leverage sales science to establish a strategic sales execution cadence, developing customer-centric offers and aligning account teams. Responsibilities include supporting sellers to achieve revenue targets, proposing solutions, contributing to commercial proposals, reviewing customer commercial history, ensuring adherence to licensing policies, and analyzing deals for risks. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, leveraging corporate and local resources, and maintaining compliance with Microsoft policies.

As a Commercial Sales Specialist, you will act as a trusted advisor to determine how commercial licensing and contracting should be changed to best meet customer needs. This opportunity will allow you to leverage your understanding of sales science (e.g., pipeline metrics, closed rates, competitive selling) to establish a strategic sales execution cadence. You will develop customer-centric offers by engaging with and aligning account teams around the deal(s) that they are casting and ensure that Win/Win compliant deal making occurs while creating commercial solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education (or equivalent) or related field

• Sales and negotiation experience

• Fluent in German

• Fluent in English

• You must be legally authorised to work in Germany to be eligible for this role. (Legally authorised = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit)

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree (or currently pursuing) in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing (or equivalent) AND sales and negotiation experience or related work experience.

 

Responsibilities

• You will support various sellers in order to achieve revenue targets and collaborate with business stakeholders and across teams. Develops understanding of critical resources and resource usage to drive business outcomes.
• You will propose solutions and seeks feedback from peers and manager on how to adjust commercial licensing approach to meet customer needs and ·
• You will contribute to developing commercial proposals and develop industry knowledge and understanding of competitive analysis to contribute to crafting commercial solution from early engagement, planning and ideation process as directed to ensure effective account territory planning appropriately.
• You will review customer commercial history, inclusive of discounts, concessions and consumptions for accounts and identify upcoming renewals as appropriate.
• You will learn about adherence to volume licensing, commercial solutions policy for commercial deal execution, inclusive of regulatory laws and principles in local markets, company policies, and guidance for consistent deal making.
• You will help analyzing deals for risks related to contract growth, partner channel risk, profitability, legal issues and contracting as well as leverage both corporate and local resources while also keeping up to date with current tools and ensure that your work reflects a culture of compliance through the sales deal execution related parts of Microsoft policy (e.g., anti-corruption policy).
