We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Acquisition and Business Development Manager in the Telugu market. This role will focus on acquiring movie and music rights, licensing, and onboarding production houses and rightsholders for multi-channel network (MCN) services. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the Telugu film and music industry, and a strong network within the ecosystem of content creators, producers, and distributors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

1. **Content Acquisition & Licensing**:

- Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and acquire Telugu movie and music rights for acquistion / distribution on digital platforms.

- Develop strong relationships with film producers, music labels, production houses, and independent rightsholders.

- Negotiate and finalize content acquisition and licensing deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal compliance.

- Manage the end-to-end acquisition process, from initial pitch to contract negotiation and deal closure.

2. **Partnership Development**:

- Onboard and maintain relationships with production houses, music labels, and individual content creators for MCN and Music services.

- Establish long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in the Telugu entertainment industry to expand the company’s content portfolio.

- Work closely with content creators, influencers, and talent to develop and manage strategic partnerships that align with business goals.

3. **Market Insights & Strategic Planning**:

- Conduct in-depth market research to understand trends in the Telugu film, music, and entertainment landscape.

- Provide insights into upcoming releases, industry movements, and emerging trends that could influence content acquisition strategies.

- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for content acquisition, business growth, and market penetration in the Telugu region.

4. **Revenue Enhancement**:

- Identify and implement strategies to optimize revenue opportunities from acquired content through licensing, distribution, and MCN services.

- Collaborate with internal teams, including digital marketing and content operations, to maximize monetization on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and other digital services.

5. **Team Leadership**:

- Lead a local team of content acquisition executives, ensuring a seamless workflow in acquiring and managing content.

- Foster collaboration across departments, including legal, marketing, and content operations, to ensure all acquisitions align with the company’s strategic and operational goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in content acquisition, licensing, and business development, particularly in the Telugu film and music industry.

- Strong relationships within the Telugu entertainment ecosystem, including film producers, music labels, and content creators.

- A deep understanding of video and music trends, social media platforms, and digital rights management.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and lead a team.

- Proficiency in Telugu and English is required.
