Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Acquisition & Negotiation
● Identify and acquire unique and engaging films, web series, and audio series for the
platform basis genre, story line etc.
● Assist in negotiations with producers, distributors, and content creators for licensing
agreements.
● Manage rights acquisition (Exclusive, Non-Exclusive, Perpetual, Digital, OTT, Dubbing,
and Remake Rights).
2. Market Research & Strategy
● Analyze regional content trends and audience insights to identify high-potential
content.
● Study competitor platforms to identify content gaps and new opportunities for STAGE.
● Assess content performance and forecast potential ROI (Return on Investment).
3. Networking & Partnership Development
● Build strong relationships with content creators, production houses, and studios to
secure long-term partnerships.
● Engage with regional film makers and independent creators to acquire diverse and
high-quality content.
4. Contract & Deal Management
● Oversee legal and financial aspects of content acquisition deals.
● Ensure contracts clearly define rights, revenue models, and content exclusivity.
● Work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with industry standards.
5. Internal Collaboration
● Coordinate with marketing, production, and tech teams to ensure smooth content
rollout.
● Monitor the quality of acquired content, overseeing edits, localization, and platform
presentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
● 3-5 years of experience in content acquisition for an OTT platform (mandatory).
● Proficiency in Hindi and at least one regional language (Haryanvi, Rajasthani, or Bhojpuri preferred).
● Strong negotiation and deal-making skills with producers and distributors.
● Deep understanding of licensing models, including Digital, OTT, Satellite, and Remake rights.
● Knowledge of regional OTT trends, audience preferences, and content performance metrics.
● Strong relationship-building skills with studios, independent film makers, and distributors.
● Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Content Management Systems.
