Description
Purpose:
The Dangerous Goods Analyst is responsible for managing regulatory data, system processes, and tools to deliver timely and effective solutions. Ensures continued compliance and efficiencies within the Dangerous Goods Space by collaborating with the Dangerous Goods network and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Builds trust and fosters strong partnerships with internal teams and key stakeholders
- Manage Material Data Governance Process
- Create, Maintain, and analyze regulatory Dangerous Goods data in SAP
- Initiate Management of Change request when a DG classification change is required
- Identify and troubleshoot regulatory data issues.
- Provide guidance on processes, documentation, and labelling requirements for Dangerous Goods according to Global/Country regulations.
- Perform and review transportation classifications for products, intermediates, and R&D.
- Collaborate with other workstreams including but not limited to Supply Chain, Artwork and Labelling, Packaging, and Planning.
- Provide additional support for product compliance activities within the System and Information Solutions Team, as needed.
Qualifications
Degree and Skill Requirements:
- BS degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific field or Business/ IT field or equivalent experience.
- Current and valid regulatory certifications in 49CFR, TDG, IATA, IMDG, Preferred.
- Agricultural business and/or Transportation/Dangerous Goods Experience
- Develop/Proficient in ERP Product Compliance functionality, as well as other modules for orders, deliveries and how they integrate with Product Compliance.
- Excellent collaboration skills, including both written and oral
- Detail oriented – close attention to detail and minor changes
- Focus on Customers – builds strong relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions
- Adaptive to shifts and changes in priorities
- Proficiency using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is necessary along with the aptitude to utilize other internal IT systems as needed.
- Problem-solving skills to identify, determine and provide solutions
- Continuous improvement mindset
