AnaVation seeks a Deployment Staff Officer to support National Security missions. Responsibilities include managing travel arrangements using the Defense Travel System (DTS), serving as the Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA), managing Government travel cards, assisting with DTS authorizations and vouchers, resolving discrepancies, supporting administrative functions and deployment processes, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with travelers, approving officials, and intelligence/cybersecurity experts. On-site work in Linthicum Heights, MD is required.
Must have:
- SCI clearance (within last 2 years)
- DTS experience
- Exceptional organizational & communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years relevant experience
Good to have:
- Polygraph (within last year)
- 4+ years DTS experience
- USCYBERCOM mission support experience
- SOP creation & maintenance experience
- Process improvement experience

Description of Task to be Performed: AnaVation is looking for a talented Deployment Staff Officer who is passionate about supporting National Security missions. The ideal candidate appreciates partnering with our customer and a group of intelligence and cybersecurity experts to oversee travel coordination and related administrative tasks. This position is full time on-site in Linthicum Heights, Maryland.
Position Responsibilities: Works closely with the program travelers and uses the Defense Travel System (DTS) to make necessary reservations for travelers and at the conclusion of travel, the contractor shall assist the traveler with completing and submitting the necessary documentation in DTS to ensure the traveler and the Government travel charge card are properly reimbursed. Performs as the Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) and will be responsible for assisting, providing guidance and training concerning DTS.
Performs as the Program Coordinator responsible for the transitioning, maintenance, and all related activity of Government cards for the program.
Assists personnel with the initiation and routing of DTS authorizations and vouchers. Works closely with travelers and approving officials to resolve any discrepancies and/or problems. Supports the designated Center, Office, and Task Force with administrative functions and deployment processes. Supports activity and data modeling, development of modern business methods, identification of best practices, and creating and assessing standard operation procedures performance. Provides group facilitation, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer if required.
Requires a practical knowledge of DTS gained through experience dealing with the program, regulations (specifically the
Joint Travel Regulation), guidelines, and policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Clearance: U.S. Citizen, SCI cleared within last 2 years.
- Location: Full time on-site in Linthicum Heights, Maryland.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of additional relevant experience
- Experience using the Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Demonstrates exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and knowledge:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clearance: Polygraph within last year
- Education: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of DTS experience.
- Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience supporting USCYBERCOM missions/programs.
- Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Successful examples of process improvements.
- Experience communicating and working with technical and non-technical audiences.
