Fidessa Corporation is seeking a Developer in Jersey City, NJ. The role involves utilizing in-depth knowledge of computer systems engineering and data structures to design software, write technical documentation, define software test plans, and plan and execute reasonable timelines for software development projects. The developer will be responsible for developing high-quality software using C++ on UNIX-based platforms, gathering business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications. Responsibilities also include writing test notes and documentation, monitoring software performance, providing recommendations for system improvements, developing and testing application revisions, and system maintenance including troubleshooting and debugging.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 1 year of work experience in job offered or related occupation
  • C++ programming on UNIX platforms

The Role:

Fidessa Corporation seeks a Developer in Jersey City, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize in-depth knowledge of computer systems engineering and data structures to design software, write technical documentation, define software test plans, and plan and execute reasonable timelines for software development projects.
    • Responsible for developing high-quality software that is accurate and efficient, primarily using C++ on UNIX-based platforms.
    • Gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications.
    • Responsible for writing test notes and documentation in support of software development and running unit and integration tests of internal software.
    • Monitor the performance of Fidessa software components and provide recommendations for system improvements, as well as develop and test application revisions as necessary. Responsible for system maintenance, including identifying, troubleshooting, debugging, and remediating software malfunctions and other issues with our complex software.
    • Identify opportunities and recommend changes regarding software system development and maintenance standards.
    • Provide expertise in software development to internal teams with the goal of designing and implementing software components that meet complex business and technical objectives.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

    • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related technical field, and 1 year of work experience in job offered, or in a computer-related occupation.  
Salary Range: 

The estimated salary range is $124,500 to $130,000 per year. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills.
