Job Description

Apexon seeks an EHR Oracle PathNet Consultant to support the IHS (Indian Health Service) in modernizing its EHR system. Responsibilities include supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the system, leveraging program/project management skills and Oracle Health solutions expertise. The role requires combining these skills to facilitate successful EHR design and build efforts for assigned IHS clinical and/or business domain groups. Experience working in inpatient and/or ambulatory labs with Cerner Labs PathNet and Cerner Millennium PathNet is crucial. The consultant will collaborate with IHS clinical and business end-users and System Integrator/EHR Vendor teams, ensuring alignment with best practices. This involves evaluating configuration decisions for impact on system maintenance, regulatory requirements, data integrity, and reporting. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Must have:

3+ years healthcare experience (clinical or business)
Laboratory experience (inpatient/ambulatory)
Cerner Labs PathNet & Millennium PathNet expertise
EHR software, assessment & implementation experience
Health Information Management & Integration
Project Management skills
Oracle Health Solutions expertise

Good to have:

Business analyst experience
Oracle Health Solutions support across clinical domains
Advise on best practices for configuration
Clinical and business workflow understanding

Role Description:

Scope of Services:

IHS, an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) people. Its goal is to raise their health status to the highest possible level through a comprehensive health service delivery system.

Required Skills:

Three or more years of relevant healthcare experience in a clinical or business role.
Laboratory: Experience working in inpatient and/or ambulatory lab

Cerner Millennium PathNet
Electronic Health Record EHR Software
Electronic Health Records (EHR) System Assessment and Implementation
Health Information Management
Integration Implementation and PMO Support

Preferred skills:

Business analyst/ Oracle Health Solution support

Maintain expertise in 1 or more Oracle Health Solutions to support one or more clinical domain groups
Provide advisement on best practices for the configuration of one or more Oracle Health Solutions
Research options for decision-making and prepare decision briefs to support assigned domains
Understand clinical and business workflows related to assigned domains and recommend configuration options that align with best practice workflows
Evaluate potential configuration decisions/options for impact on system maintenance, regulatory requirements, data integrity, and reporting requirements
Collaborate effectively with IHS clinical and business end-users to facilitate efficient decision-making processes
Collaborate effectively with System Integrator/EHR Vendor teams to promote alignment to Vendor-defined best practices for system configuration and workflow
Participates in special projects as required

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Electronic Health Record (EHR) Analyst with Oracle/Cerner PathNet experience. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the IHS Modernized EHR system by combining program/project management skills with Oracle Health solutions expertise to facilitate successful EHR design and build efforts for assigned IHS clinical and/or business domain groups.

Must have Laboratory experience working in inpatient and/or ambulatory lab
