The EMEA Bodyshop Technical Trainer at Tesla will deliver learning solutions across the region, ensuring the internal and external repair network is equipped to provide top-tier service for Tesla owners. Responsibilities include facilitating hands-on technical onboarding and continuous training for bodyshop technicians, mentoring, collaborating with managers to address skill gaps, and supporting apprentice programs. The role requires expertise in electric vehicle repair, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel extensively (60%). The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and passionate about electric vehicles.
Must have:
  • Strong understanding of vehicle body repair processes
  • Experience with aluminum and steel welding
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, trim, and refinishing
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to travel 60%
  • EV repair experience preferred
Good to have:
  • Experience with apprentice programs
  • Experience with environmental and safety requirements
What to Expect
The Bodyshop Technical Trainer position requires someone with exceptional ability to deliver learning solutions within their region. The Tesla Bodyshop Technical Trainer will take responsibility for ensuring our internal and external repair network is equipped to deliver the best ownership experience the world has ever seen for every Tesla owner. Key responsibilities include facilitating hands-on technical Onboarding and Continuous Bodyshop technical training, mentoring and supporting Bodyshop technicians, and partnering closely with local Bodyshop Managers and regional network managers to train for skill gaps and elevate the performance of their teams and regions. 


This individual must be creative, proactive, organized, flexible, results-oriented, and have a passion for and understanding of electric vehicles. Must have outstanding communication, facilitation, and organizational skills while demonstrating a positive and professional demeanor.    

What You’ll Do
  • Facilitate Onboarding and Continuous instructor-led and virtual Bodyshop technical training on electric vehicles equipped with complex automotive and electromechanical systems to enable employees to perform their role safely and to Tesla’s standards

  • Maintain expert knowledge of the most current product knowledge, systems, methods, techniques, and best practices of Bodyshop repair procedure and processes   

  • Support the Content Development team with reviewing training material, as needed   

  • Support local apprentice programs as needed, including delivering training, supporting apprentice mentors, and reviewing training materials

  • Partner with Managers and Coaches to identify and train for skill gap development of employees 

  • Serve, coach and mentor a network of Internal Bodyshop technicians and coaches to enhance core capabilities and ensure continuous process improvement

  • Support and manage any local and specific projects with minimal guidance 

What You’ll Bring
  • Equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability  

  • Strong understanding of vehicle body repair processes including aluminum and steel Welding, Mechanical, electrical, trim and refinishing knowledge; with experience of electric vehicles repairs is strongly preferred

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated confidence and professionalism in working in a customer-facing role

  • Proactive, flexible, confident, professional, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to travel at least 60% of the time, with a valid Driver’s License and a valid passport 

  • Experience with environmental and safety requirements a plus
