Accor is seeking a Full-Time Senior Lounge Runner to join their team and provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to lounge guests. The role involves leading and motivating the team, ensuring guests have an outstanding experience, and maintaining health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Responsibilities include accurate food and beverage ordering and delivery, keeping service areas clean, explaining menus, assisting guests with dietary needs, and promoting a safe workplace. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to lounge patrons and maintaining a safe and pleasant environment. You will be providing management and leadership support to your lounge manager. 

Job Description

We are seeking Full-Time Senior Lounge Runner  to join our team and provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all of our lounge guests. All of our roles are focused on exciting our guests with flair and enthusiasm and demonstrating a genuine passion for customer service.

Essential duties of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and motivate the team, including servers, bartenders, and support staff, to deliver excellent customer service. This involves training, scheduling, and ensuring everyone follows standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure guests have an outstanding experience by responding to their needs, handling complaints efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Ensure the team follows health, safety, and sanitation regulations. This may also include responsible service of alcohol regulations, depending on the region.
  • Ensure accuracy whilst ordering and delivering food and beverage orders.
  • Clear and reset tables and ensure service areas are clean and tidy.
  • Maintain hygiene standards for food handling and presentation in line with expected outcomes.
  • Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences and providing timely assistance when recommending beverages.
  • Prior experience in the food and beverage industry would be beneficial.
  • Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general WHS practices.

Qualifications

Whilst technical experience is of importance to us, to be considered for the role, you will have the following:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and guide a team, address conflicts, and inspire a high level of service.
  • A friendly, customer-focused attitude with the strive to provide total customer satisfaction.
  • A deep commitment to hospitality, ensuring every guest has a positive experience.
  • Initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive, intuitive and efficient.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and maintain smooth operations under pressure.
  • Clear communication with team members and management, as well as effective problem-solving skills when issues arise.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification.
  • Confidence in liaising with various internal and external clients.
  • A high standard of grooming and personal presentation.
  • The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask. 
  • A positive team player and guest-centric mindset.
