The Team:
The foundation of IFS Tech's team structure is meticulously crafted to drive business value and achieve engineering and delivery excellence. Our engineering teams operate at the functional level, tirelessly delivering new features and enhancements aligned with business priorities. The two agile-based engineering teams, Team 1 (Finance and Procurement) and Team 2 (Inventory and CMMS), consistently follow bi-weekly sprints to ensure timely and impactful results. Our collaborative structure ensures a seamless blend of expertise and dedication, driving success in every aspect of our operations.
To succeed in this role, an IFS engineer should have a strong background in each functional module with a technology agility. They should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and have a problem-solving mindset. They should also possess technical skills such as SQL, XML, and reporting tools, as well as knowledge of IFS applications and modules.
Past Job Experience:
- Be the point of contact on the ground who conducts functional discussions, manages scope, advises on local configuration, process and data requirements, helps prepare for and supports testing locally, provides issue resolution, conducts super user training and supports user training, facilitates business readiness activities.
- Co-ordinate and support central teams for Design, Build, Test, Deployment activities and deliverables.
- Hands on Experience Implementing IFS Finance Modules, minimum version 9 and strong understanding of IFS Financial design.
- Worked closely with business stakeholders and key users to develop new and optimized workflows within IFS.
- Advocated and lead multiple projects on successful implementation with best practices.
- Experience with invoicing, purchase to pay, project finance, Accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, fixed assets, and other Finance/Accounting modules in IFS.
- Worked with engineering teams in identification, tracking, and resolution of problems within IFS.
- Created training materials and provided training to end users on the IFS system.
- Experienced in setting up new companies, posting controls, report configurations.
- Worked on integrating IFS with external system and financial institutions (Banks).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in customer-facing project.
- Providing functional expertise to support the implementation, upgrade, configuration and maintenance of the IFS solution.
- Working closely with customers to create solution outlines and solution definitions for new IFS requirements or to extend the use of a current IFS set up.
- Addressing support incidents as assigned to you via the service desk.
- Providing architectural direction and guidance to all staff relating to finance IFS functionality.
- To add immediate value and to succeed in this role; you will be currently working as a Functional Consultant within an IFS environment.
- Good knowledge of Accountancy is vital, this role would suit someone with ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualifications, although these are not essential.
- A confident user of IFS Financials, any exposure with implementations and upgrades is greatly useful.
- Any Power BI experience and expertise is highly advantageous.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving mindset.
- Consulting and Accounting background preferred.
- Experience of working in a global environment.
- Experience in rolling out ERP solutions internationally.
- Good business documentation and presentation skills.
- Providing user training and support, including writing user manuals and documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards and maintaining system security and integrity.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, including data discrepancies and configuration errors.
- Keeping up to date with IFS technology trends and best practices.
