About the job

Who we are

At Fortis Games we aspire to make great games that bring people together while redefining how game companies work. We believe in building a sense of belonging through our games, their communities, and how we operate and treat each other. Through our game communities, we will create powerful connections and lasting memories. We will foster a culture of diversity, equity and belonging where together our diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds impact the games we make.

We are an early but mighty organization with a leadership team of game industry veterans. There are many opportunities for you to have a big impact on the products we'll be making as well as the overall direction of the company. If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems with direct and thoughtful communication and team first mentality, we may be the right place for you.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Market Intelligence, you’ll be an integral part of building out analysis that helps shape our internally developed games and strategically positioning them for launch. This will include macro gaming trends, micro genre tear-downs and validating audience sizing. You will partner with publishing and game teams to build these out.

What you will achieve:

  • You will build analysis feeding market validation frameworks that provide crucial early-stage data on the market viability of our game ideas.
  • You will work with our partner teams that specialize in various data gathering techniques, such as User Acquisition Testing, User Research/Playtesting, and Market Intelligence.
  • You will build out templates for market intelligence that keep leadership informed of market trends

What you'll need to be successful:

  • A willingness to experiment and devise novel methods for exploring potential data gathering techniques
  • A grasp of validation best practices (ideally spanning user acquisition, user testing, and market intelligence) and a history in performance marketing are prerequisites.
  • You should have the ability to communicate your findings in a manner that informs and persuades teams. An aptitude for understanding and articulating the subtleties of ambiguous findings is crucial.
  • The ability to absorb feedback from product teams and gauge its relevance to validation and assessment techniques is also necessary.
  • A strong understanding of distribution, marketing, community, and product is critical for success in this role.
  • A dedication to honesty and clarity in your findings, irrespective of the consequences, is imperative.
  • As a leader, you should bring an enthusiasm for guiding, mentoring, and elevating your team members to achieve their best. Above all, your curiosity and desire to learn will help you stay ahead of market trends and drive your ongoing education in your craft and the gaming industry.

Why join us
