Summary: Duties for the CADD Designer position include the operation of CADD work stations, plotters, printers, and other associated equipment to support the preparation of designs for environmental and infrastructure projects including investigations, assessments, engineering studies, designs, and construction-phase services.

Your Role

• Work with engineers, scientists and senior designers to develop designs for civil, environmental, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and plot maps showing topographical contours, elevations, profiles, cross-sections, and erosion and sediment controls.
• Develop and draft civil, geotechnical and structural design drawings of structures and installations pertaining to roads, culverts, detention basins, stormwater management facilities, pipelines, manholes, tanks, buildings, landfills, etc. including grading and Erosion & Sediment Control BMP’s.
• Support the preparation of engineering reports, cost estimates, specifications, regulatory permits, construction schedules, and designs for projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Certificate from a college or technical school indicating CADD proficiency. Associate degree in Drafting/CADD preferred.
• Relevant experience required for this position is 3 years or more.
• Good working knowledge of the following software: latest versions of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of latest Pennsylvania DEP Erosion & Sediment Control requirements a plus.
• Ability to work on and prioritize a variety of technical assignments and complete work on schedule to the satisfaction of the requestor.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as databases, field notes, reports, specifications, maps, and engineering drawings.
• Ability to work with basic engineering and mathematical concepts and principles and apply those concepts to design development.
• Ability to apply logical and technical understanding to carry out instructions received in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Occasionally work assignments may require the employee to travel via vehicle or aircraft.
• The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
• A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
