Playtech‘s Live unit is looking for an Operations Engineer with excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will...

  • Act as third-level support for issues with Live Casino Product
  • Assist and coordinate other teams in Playtech to understand and resolve problems with our service, including the creation of defects in JIRA
  • Monitor the service using Grafana/ VictoriaMetrics tools to make sure it's healthy
  • Investigate issues in other Playtech products that could affect the Live service and work with other teams to resolve them
  • Support Live DevOps function and use your scripting skills to create new tools
  • Participate in on-call rotation (for additional compensation)

Qualifications

Components for success. You...

  • Are coming from either a Technical Support OR a Linux Sysadmin OR a Junior DevOps OR a QA Engineer (automation) OR a Technical Account Manager position (passionate university IT program students are also welcomed to apply)
  • Are experienced with Linux and can make conscious actions
  • Have some knowledge in scripting languages (Bash/Python/Perl) which will help you to automate repetitive tasks
  • Have knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, subnetting, etc.)
  • Have excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
  • Learn as you go, think out of the box and seek ways to make processes smoother
  • Are accurate, attentive to details and able to work under pressure
