We’re looking to hire a Producer (Audio / Video) for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical client. Teams are very collaborative and have a passion for creating cutting edge customer experiences.
Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for someone to join the Audio/Video team to manage and maintain audio/visual equipment in two corporate studios for the production of high-definition (HD) podcasts and virtual training events using platforms like Teams and Zoom. This is a 12 – month contract + extension and possible convert to perm. The team is located in Mettawa, IL, and the role is on-site 5 days/week.
Occasional assignments at nearby Abbott Park (near Lake Bluff, IL). No other travel is required. Flexibility for early start times (e.g., 7:00 AM for 8:00 AM events). Monday-Friday, with work hours adjusted to maintain a 40-hour work week. Occasional Overtime, subject to mutual agreement with manager.
Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.
Producer (Audio / Video) Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation of videos and other multimedia content to support communication and training goals.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and address the needs of internal executive management.
- Manage and operate audio/visual equipment in two corporate studios, delivering high-definition (HD) podcasts and virtual training events.
- Provide real-time troubleshooting of equipment and technical issues during live events to ensure seamless production.
- Proactively manage mobile studio setups for off-site/remote productions.
- Maintain studio inventory and ensure availability of backup/replacement equipment.
- Collaborate with the reporting manager on the design, production, and execution of engaging podcasts and training events.
- Provide professional, friendly, and solution-oriented customer support throughout the event lifecycle.
- Manage the movement, storage, and maintenance of studio equipment to ensure functionality and optimal condition.
- Oversee the organization, distribution, and maintenance of home studio kits for remote stakeholders.
- Expert in producing small and large-scale events in Teams and Zoom, both in-studio and remotely.
- Proficient in breakout rooms, pre-call settings, microphone management, and camera management.
- Contribute to the production of videos and other multimedia content to enhance communication and training initiatives.
- Assist in developing processes and provide suggestions and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate weekly studio schedules with the manager and adjust work hours as needed to meet event production demands while maintaining a 40-hour work week.
Producer (Audio / Video) Requirements:
3+ years’ experience in similar roles
- Passion for working with professional audio/visual equipment for high-definition (HD) recording and broadcasting.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, set up, and operate studio technology under time-sensitive conditions.
- Proficiency with high-end camera, lighting, and audio equipment, including specific examples like RODE Caster, SHURE and RODE microphones, ATEM switchers, SONY HD and PTZ cameras.
- Commitment to delivering polished, error-free productions while managing multiple tasks.
- Strong emphasis on preparation, testing, and in-production adjustments to minimize technical issues.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to understand and address the needs of internal executive management.
- Ability to think quickly and creatively to resolve unexpected challenges during live events and productions, while prioritizing thorough preparation and testing.
- Comfortable moving and storing equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining studio cleanliness, including vacuuming and cleaning weekly or between larger events.
