About the job

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for launching and landing the first commercial product in the Project Starline portfolio. You will also be responsible for exploring, and defining future product concepts that deliver compelling video calling experiences for businesses and consumers.

The deliverables include launching the first commercial product of Project Starline in partnership with a manufacturing partner. In this role, you will deliver and execute the strategy to position Project Starline's first product into trusted tester programs and executive briefing centers.

Project Starline from Google combines advances in hardware and software to enable friends, families and co-workers to feel together, even when they’re cities (or countries) apart. Imagine looking through a magic window, and through that window, you see another person, life-size and in three-dimensions. As part of the Project Starline team, you'll work with researchers and engineers in a fast-paced product-oriented environment. Our teams collaborate closely with Google Workspace and Research teams. Your contributions will have an impact on the future of communications with Google products. You will apply technology to solve that really important problem that we often want to be together and we can’t.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about .

Responsibilities

  • Influence a roadmap of new feature requests sourced from cross-functional teams to improve the product's value proposition, ease of deployment and ease of use.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and deconstruct complex product problems, evaluate solutions against UX, technical and business criteria, and align the team forward.
  • Support Go-to-Market (GTM) planning and execution, provide product expertise to inform product marketing and technical training collateral to onboard direct sales teams and resellers.
