Job Description

As a Project Management Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of electrical power generation engineered solutions to customers. From the contract signature through to commissioning and customer handover, ensuring high-quality delivery on time and within budget. You will be the main point of contact, collaborating with Sales Managers on customer relationship management, reviewing contractual conditions, defining schedules, and action items. You will also drive, plan, and monitor projects, lead project meetings, and coordinate resources. You will work with internal stakeholders and suppliers for coordination and execution of the project.
Must have:
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years project management and execution experience.
  • Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Project management certification (PMP or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate Asian cultural differences.
Good to have:
  • Experience in the diesel engine/generator industry.

A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Project Management Executive to join our team and oversee the delivery of electrical power generation engineered solutions to customers. You will be the face of the project from contract signature through to commissioning and customer handover, ensuring high-quality delivery on time and within budget.

Key Accountabilities:
1. General

  • Deliver electrical power generation engineered solutions (project systems business) to customers.

  • Act as the main point of contact with customers throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with Sales Managers on customer relationship management.

2. Project Execution

  • Review contractual conditions and scope, defining schedules, scope of supply, and action items.

  • Support project cost calculations.

  • Drive, plan, and monitor projects to meet delivery expectations, budget, and quality standards.

  • Lead project meetings, ensuring all participants actively contribute, documenting and following up on action items.

  • Coordinate project resources to achieve key milestones.

  • Design and implement risk mitigation plans.

  • Maintain regular customer communication on project progress.

  • Conduct project reviews and prepare progress reports for internal stakeholders.

3. Coordination with Internal Stakeholders and Suppliers

  • Collaborate with Sales, Application Engineering, Execution Engineering, and Service teams to understand and coordinate project scope, including balance of plant (BOP).

  • Build close working relationships with local suppliers and manage BOP scope.

  • Integrate different suppliers into the genset construction program.

  • Manage customer expectations and stakeholders during genset Factory Witness Test (FWT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).

  • Support and oversee project execution at the site, ensuring successful handover to the customer.

4. Other Responsibilities

  • Undertake overseas travel as required.

  • Keep up to date with project management best practices.

  • Undertake special assignments as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management and execution of engineered solution businesses (electrical power systems and DUPS).

  • Experience in the diesel engine/generator industry is an advantage.

  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specifications.

  • Project management certification (PMP or similar).

  • Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to navigate Asian cultural differences and business practices, with effective conflict resolution skills.

  • Capable of managing high-stress situations, taking accountability, and multitasking.

  • Keeps up to date with project progress and status.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Proficient in English.
