Job Description

The Project Procurement Specialist will manage procurement activities for large-scale industrial energy storage projects. This includes managing the end-to-end procurement processes, developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets, sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, preparing purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance, collaborating with project teams to identify requirements, maintaining inventory control, ensuring adherence to procurement policies, and preparing reports. Strong communication skills in diverse environments are also required. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of EU procurement standards and regulations
  • Experience with international sourcing and global supply chains
  • Familiarity with local tax considerations and logistics requirements
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management
  • Experience working with multicultural teams

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented Project Procurement Specialist to join our team at Fluence Energy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities for large-scale industrial energy storage projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support our operations, with specific experience in the energy sector preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement processes for energy storage projects, with a proven ability to optimize cost, ensure compliance, and support timely delivery

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets

Source and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors according to established criteria

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery

Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement documentation

Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Collaborate with project teams to identify procurement requirements and specifications

Maintain inventory control systems and implement cost-saving initiatives

Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures

Prepare regular procurement reports and analytics for management review

Manage supplier relationships across multicultural teams, demonstrating strong communication skills in diverse environments

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the energy sector

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation

Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of EU procurement standards and regulations

Experience with international sourcing and global supply chains

Familiarity with local tax considerations and logistics requirements

Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (CPSM, CPM, CSCP)

Experience working with multicultural teams

Demonstrated history of achieving measurable results in procurement optimization
