Key Accountabilities:
General
Lead customer quality processes. Focus on reducing reportable quality issues to meet customer’s baselines.
Conduct and lead product quality analysis – DFMEA, PFMEA & DPU.
Attend customer quality meetings and lead regional quality topics. Address customer needs accordingly.
Track all reported quality issues in accordance with the respective customer accounts and identify repeated quality issues to be investigated.
Track and follow up on all RCA status and ensure all RCA are completed as per agreed timeline.
Keep proper record of all assessments related to quality and product safety.
Lead product safety assessment to ensure the product meets company established safety standards.
Familiarize with customer quality process and work with the quality engineer to implement it to the projects.
Always keeping the customers informed of the progress of all ongoing quality topics.
Enhance pre-sales support by thoroughly reviewing and providing feedback on customer requirements, particularly regarding quality specifications.
Prepare and present insights and lessons learned regarding quality and product safety matters to customers.
Working with internal stakeholders and suppliers
To investigate existing quality issues at the regional level and work with the respective stakeholders to address them.
Work with the quality engineer to ensure the project quality is being maintained in accordance with the prevailing quality standards.
To work with the in-country partners to address customer quality issues for in-country projects.
To work with the regional quality persons to keep oneself up to date on quality issue within the organization to mitigate future project risk and to improve customer satisfaction.
Actively participate in supplier audit and sourcing and provide inputs from the quality perspective.
Collaborate with suppliers/contractors to align with company quality requirements.
Prepare and present insights and lessons learned regarding quality and product safety matters to internal stakeholders.
Other Matters
Travels overseas on business, when required.
Updates oneself with quality management best practices.
Special assignment from time to time.
Requirements:
University studies in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering fields or equivalent.
Experience in quality assurance of engineered solution business, min. 3 years.
Experience in the diesel engine/generator industry or backup power in data center would be an added advantage.
Good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understand Asian cultural differences and business practices and can resolve conflicts effectively.
Able to manage high stress situations. Be accountable for the project quality topics.
Able to multi-task and manage topics simultaneously. An extremely resourceful person.
Always up to date with the progress of the project.
Willingness to travel.
Proficient in English language.
