Job Description

Toptracer Technologies seeks a Rendering Engineer to develop their streamed open-world golf game solution. Responsibilities include building internal tools and pipelines, optimizing rendering for multiple platforms (Linux, iOS, Windows), and ensuring high-quality visual experiences. The role requires collaboration with designers and developers, leveraging skills in shaders, forward rendering, and pipeline automation. Experience with game engines (preferably Unity) and asset management is essential. The successful candidate will contribute to a creative and impactful gaming experience reaching players globally.
Must have:

THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and versatile Rendering Engineer who wants to join us in developing our streamed open-world solution for a golf game. In this role, you will work on everything from building internal tools and pipelines to optimizing rendering and creating high-quality experiences on multiple platforms (Linux, iOS and Windows). You will be part of a team where we combine creative ideas with technical expertise to deliver a seamless and visually impressive gaming experience.

POSSIBILITIES

  • Rendering & Optimization: Work with shaders (e.g. custom PBR), forward rendering and runtime terrain rendering to maximize performance and maintain high graphic quality.
  • Pipeline Development & Automation: Develop and maintain tools that transform edit scenes into optimized runtime scenes, including handling prefabs and asset packing (e.g. with Unity Addressables).
  • System & Tool Development: Create and improve internal tools (such as our “Assembler” and spline-based region tools) to support artists and designers in production.
  • Platform Support: Ensure that our solutions are robust and effective on multiple platforms, including fixed hardware.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with graphic designers, designers and other developers to identify needs and drive innovative technical solutions.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Profile, debug and optimize both tools and runtime systems and contribute to a sustainable code base.

 

WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE

  • Experience with game engines (preferably Unity) and pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of real-time rendering, shaders and optimization of graphics flows.
  • Strong understanding of C# or C++ and good insight into asset management (e.g. Addressables).
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and communicating technical solutions.
  • Interest in developing own tools, building automated workflows and improving pipelines.

Also good if you have

  • Experience creating or optimizing forward rendering, PBR, terrain systems, or multi-platform builds.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Verdaccio, build servers, Amazon S3, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with scripting (e.g. Python) for tooling or pipeline automation.
