CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Rendering Engineer to work on Cyberpunk 2 in Boston (fully remote from USA or Canada). Responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing existing rendering systems, developing new solutions for large-scale problems, collaborating with art teams, optimizing performance and memory utilization, and bringing characters and worlds to life using Unreal Engine 5. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of industry experience, fluency in C++, in-depth graphics programming knowledge, and professional Unreal Engine experience. They should also have extensive knowledge of rendering techniques, GPU/CPU architecture, and multithreaded programming, along with experience in low-level graphics APIs and debugging tools.
Must have:
  • 7+ years industry experience
  • Fluent C++ & graphics programming
  • Unreal Engine expertise (shipped title preferred)
  • Rendering techniques & GPU/CPU architecture knowledge
  • Multithreaded programming experience
  • Low-level graphics API experience (DirectX12, Vulkan etc.)
  • Graphics debugging tool experience (RenderDoc, Pix etc.)
  • Low-level profiling and optimization
Good to have:
  • Shipped at least one Unreal-based project

Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior Rendering Engineer to join our office in Boston to work on Cyberpunk 2, the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. In this role, you will become part of the team responsible for developing rendering solutions and optimizations to enable designers and artists to deliver the vision of the game.

 

Utilizing Unreal Engine 5, you’ll help define the future of visual fidelity in our games while collaborating with engineers and artists to breathe life into our titles.   

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and optimizing existing rendering systems.
  • Developing new rendering solutions for large-scale problems.
  • Working closely with art teams to provide performant and effective solutions.
  • Bringing our characters and worlds to life with your rendering knowledge.
  • Optimizing performance & memory utilization.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of industry experience.
  • Fluent C++ and in-depth experience with graphics programming are essential.
  • Professional knowledge of Unreal Engine, preferably a shipped title with UE technology.
  • Extensive knowledge of rendering techniques and GPU/CPU architecture.
  • Comprehensive multithreaded programming experience.
  • Experience with one or more low-level graphics API (DirectX12, Vulkan, console, etc.).
  • Thorough experience with at least one graphics debugging tool (RenderDoc, Pix, console-specific, etc.)
  • Experience with low-level profiling and optimization.
  • Effective communication skills, responsibility, sense of ownership and dedication for work.
  • A proactive attitude towards helping the team to get their work done faster and more efficiently.

Nice to have:

  • Shipped at least one Unreal-based project.

This job can be fully remote from the USA or Canada.
