About the job:
The gTech Risk Prevention team identifies and drives controls to significant risks so that business units can keep Google growing and our customers protected. We review business processes across gTech to identify gaps in the control environment and coordinate with key Google stakeholders to drive closures to identified gaps and provide subject matter risk expertise in identifying innovative solutions to keep gTech secure and moving fast. In this role, you will be participating in risk operations and consults, be a risk consultant to the organization and manage risk remediation programs for the thousands of users across the gTech organization and Google as a whole. You will work with various stakeholders in providing subject matter expertise in the business and technical risk domain. Through diligent risk management and programs you will enable performance, agility and growth while keeping the organization safe, secure and compliant.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in program management within the risk management space
  • Experience in Enterprise operational or technical Risk Management
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, stakeholder management
  • Ability to apply critical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize data and apply business context
Good to have:
  • Certified in the security or technical audit space
  • Understanding of scripting languages
  • Ability to grow in a fluid, cross-functional and global team environment

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in program management within the risk management space, including risk management, risk assessment, risk reporting, audit, compliance or incident management.
  • Experience in Enterprise operational or technical Risk Management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certified in the security or technical audit space.
  • Understanding of scripting languages.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, stakeholder management and ability to grow in a fluid, cross-functional and global team environment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$187,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Review end to end risk associated with new and changing business processes across gTech. Perform ad hoc risk assessments to identify business and technical risks to our partners both inside and outside of Google.
  • Manage the delivery of high quality and impactful assessments by leveraging third-party services. Monitor technical and operational risk landscape to identify emerging and future risks.
  • Provide next level risk management subject matter expertise to support gTech business partners. Coordinate efforts across gTech and with Google corporate partners to reduce identified risks.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across product areas as well as Google Security, Privacy, Legal, and Engineering teams.
  • Manage one of the key prevention programs (Control Management, Workflow Launch, Control Testing, Issue Remediation)
