Overview:
The Senior Manager, Grants, Content & Accreditation, is responsible for securing grant funding, managing the grants lifecycle, and ensuring successful implementation of grant-funded educational programs. This role involves collaboration with stakeholders to align grants with organizational goals, compliance with regulations, and maintaining accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Development:
Execute the strategic plan for medical education programs aligned with organizational objectives.
Identify and pursue grant funding opportunities to support growth and sustainability.
Identify educational gaps and emerging trends to guide activity development.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and fund impactful educational content.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Prospect and identify opportunities through research and KOL feedback.
Develop a robust pipeline of potential new supporters.
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions.
Adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Program Evaluation and Outcomes Assessment:
Assess the effectiveness and impact of educational grant programs.
Analyze participant feedback, knowledge gains, and behavior changes.
Use evaluation findings to drive continuous improvement and inform future program development.
Ensure all milestones and reconciliation criteria are met.
Compliance and Accreditation:
Collaborate with accredited partner(s) to secure CE/CME accreditation for projects, ensuring alignment with program objectives and compliance standards
Ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., ACCME, AAPA, AANP, COPE).
Stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging requirements.
Content Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality live/digital/hybrid medical activities for healthcare providers.
Work with external medical writers and KOLs to create program content.
Incorporate revisions from cross-functional teams.
Write assessment/survey/polling questions aligned with project goals.
Complete projects within established budgets and timelines.
Maintain knowledge of clinical issues within therapeutic areas.
Quickly acquire knowledge in new disease areas as needed.
Faculty Management:
Develop and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders.
Recruit and engage faculty for projects to deliver accurate and compelling content.
Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, or business development.
3-5 years of experience in a healthcare-related field and continuing medical education.
Familiarity with grant management systems for accredited educational activities.
Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to present concepts to various audiences.
Peripheral knowledge of various disease states and underlying sciences.
Familiarity with regulatory issues and guidelines for continuing education (e.g., COPE, ACCME, ACPE, ANCC) preferred.
Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Comfortable building collaborative work relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Excellent computer skills that include working remotely on shared networks and cloud-based systems (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive, Workfront, Salesforce and others)
Comfortable in a highly deadline-driven environment; able to pivot quickly between tasks and adapt to rapidly shifting priorities
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Possessing strong problem-solving and time-management skills; capable of addressing unforeseen issues to ensure that project goals and timelines are consistently met
Willingness to travel; estimated up to 25% (during peak times) for program delivery and training opportunities
