Job Description

The Salesforce Lead Technical Consultant will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud solutions, ensuring best-in-class configuration, customization, and development standards. They will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Salesforce technical solutions, including APEX, Lightning Web Components, and data warehouse integrations. The role also involves leading solution design, supporting business development, upskilling junior team members, and engaging with senior stakeholders. The candidate should also be able to lead and manage project teams, be hands-on, and comfortable delivering technical demonstrations to stakeholders.
Must have:
  • Experience in systems audits, requirements gathering, and process mapping
  • Experience in creating functional and technical design documentation
  • Experience in creating data architecture diagrams and entity relationship diagrams
  • Experience in creating end user acceptance testing scripts and supporting UAT process
  • Experience in creating end user support and training material
  • Understanding of Sales and Customer Service processes
  • Experience in customising, configuring, and developing Salesforce solutions
  • Experience in using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Flow
  • Expertise in building apps and automation within Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with data warehouses & other software
  • Strong experience with middleware platforms (Heroku, Mulesoft, Boomi, Informatica, etc.)
  • Certifications within Salesforce are required
Good to have:
  • Hands-on knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, and authentication protocols
  • Understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for customising Lightning Web Components
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Love for sports
  • Great self-starting attitude keen to join an entrepreneurial organisation

And we use the understanding this gives us to help our clients grow.

Grow their audiences and grow their revenues - both direct to consumer and business to business revenues. Our platforms and services are trusted by over 900 clients globally, including the English Premier League, Red Bull, UEFA, VISA, the NFL, Nike and Amazon. We are almost 1000 people, based out of 14 offices, and we deliver work for sports and entertainment businesses of all shapes and sizes all over the world.

The role will require the candidate to be responsible for:

  • Enhance Salesforce Solutions – Lead the development and optimisation of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud solutions.
  • Ensure Best Practices – Implement best-in-class configuration, customisation and development standards.
  • Act as the SME for Salesforce Technical Solutions – Provide expertise in APEX, Lightning Web Components, middleware solutions and data warehouse integrations.
  • Act as the SME for Salesforce Solution Integrations – Be the expert in how Salesforce intersects with other platforms; designing and owning integration data flows between them.
  • Lead Solution Design – Architect and deliver scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Support Business Development – Advise on Salesforce capabilities and contribute to solution proposals and strategic initiatives.
  • Upskill Junior Team Members – Mentor and develop internal Salesforce resources, fostering technical growth within the team.
  • Senior Stakeholder Engagement – Able to engage and impress at client Director and Exec level stakeholders both on the business side and technical side.

 

Functional Requirements:

  • Experience across systems audits, requirements gathering and process mapping

  • Creation of end user support and training material

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Understanding of Sales and Customer Service processes
  • Experience in customising, configuring, and developing Salesforce solutions
  • Experience in using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Flow
  • Expertise in building apps and automation within Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, leveraging custom objects, process automation and Lightning experience
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with data warehouses & other software
  • Strong experience with middleware platforms (Heroku, Mulesoft, Boomi, Informatica, etc.)
  • Hands-on knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, and authentication protocols for secure integrations is desirable
  • Understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for customising Lightning Web Components is desirable
  • Understanding of SQL is desirable
  • Certifications within Salesforce are required

  • Can lead as well as manage project teams
  • Comfortable being hands on and managing key client accounts
  • Comfortable in delivering technical demonstrations to stakeholders
  • Worked across accounts with sizeable budget and multiple markets
  • Comfortable building strong working relationships, both within the business and with clients, and a keenness to maintain and develop these relationships
  • Ability to work at pace and retain a keen attention to detail
  • A willingness to travel (if and when required)
