SAP - ABAP BRIM - Senior Associate - Bangalore

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and customize SAP applications using ABAP programming language, with a focus on ABAP on HANA. 

• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. 

• Design and implement enhancements, interfaces, and reports within the SAP environment, with a specific focus on integration with SAP BRIM modules. 

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing for developed solutions. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP ABAP programming, system integrations, and SAP BRIM modules. 

• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and end-users, specifically related to ABAP and SAP BRIM functionality. 

• Stay updated on SAP ABAP and BRIM developments, best practices, and latest technologies to ensure the adoption of the latest methodologies. 

• Implement and configure SAP BRIM modules, including Subscription Order Management, Convergent Invoicing, Convergent Charging, and Customer Financial Management. 

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions that align with business needs. 

• Configure and customize SAP BRIM functionalities based on business requirements. 

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing for SAP BRIM modules. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP BRIM functionalities, ensuring system stability and performance. 

• Provide functional guidance and support to project teams and end-users on SAP BRIM modules. 

• Document technical/functional specifications, system configurations, and procedures related to ABAP and SAP BRIM. 

Requirements: 

• Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Developer with a strong understanding of ABAP programming language. 

• Functional knowledge of SAP BRIM modules, including Subscription Order Management, Convergent Invoicing, Convergent Charging, and Customer Financial Management. 

• Proficiency in developing custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms using ABAP, specifically in the context of SAP BRIM modules. 

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, Web Dynpro, and other SAP UI technologies is a plus. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to ABAP and SAP BRIM functionality. 

• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills as a consultant and play a key role in implementations from Blueprint to Go-Live. 

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. 

• SAP certification(s) in ABAP/BRIM is a plus. 

Required Experience: 

• The ideal candidate must have at least 5- 6 years of hands-on experience in ABAP/ABAP on HANA/BRIM, with primary skill in ABAP/ABAP on HANA and techno-functional skill in BRIM. 

• Extensive experience in implementing and configuring SAP BRIM modules, including Subscription Order Management, Convergent Invoicing, Convergent Charging, and Customer Financial Management. 

• Detailed experience in ABAP CDS views, AMDP, OData, REST/JSON, XML (including debugging), sound analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in debugging and root cause analysis, and the ability to propose/implement suitable resolutions for issues such as bug fixes and performance tuning. 

• Basic understanding or experience with RESTful ABAP programming and cloud application development. 

• In addition to above, candidate should possess strong Knowledge in the following technical areas. 

• Forms (SAP Scripts / Smart Forms/Adobe Forms), 

• Reports (ALV / Classical), Interfaces (ALE/IDOC, BAPI) 

• Conversions (LTMC) 

• Enhancements (User Exits, BADI, Enhancement Spots, BTE),  

• Object Oriented ABAP. 

• Workflows (Development, Configuration) - Classical and Flexible Workflow.  

• OData (SAP ODATA Framework, Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools IDE and SAP Business Application Studio, OData service creation and Implementation) 

• Should have done at least 3 SAP Implementation / Rollout projects. 

• Familiarity on the basic business processes with any of the following Functional Areas: 

• SAP Financials (FI/CO/PS). 

• SAP Logistics (SD/MM/ PP/PM) 

• SAP HR 

• Should have at least 1 year working experience in either 1 of the below skills: 

• SAP HANA 

• SAP CPI 

• SAP UI5/Fiori 

• SAP BODS 

• SAP OData 

SAP OData: 

• Should have at least 1 year experience developing OData services based on SAP Gateway/CDS View. 

• Implement CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations for entities. 

• Customize and extend standard OData services to meet specific business requirements. 

• Write ABAP code to handle data transformations, validations, and business logic. 

Education: BTech/BE, MCA/MBA or equivalent in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
