Senior Account Strategist, Mid-Market Sales

Job Description

The Senior Account Strategist will be responsible for delivering against ambitious quarterly business and product growth targets. This role requires managing a portfolio of medium and large businesses, understanding their growth drivers, identifying opportunities, managing risks, and creating multi-quarter plans. Key responsibilities include pitching and consulting with customers on annual digital marketing discussions and budgets, driving customer growth through outstanding sales experiences, achieving customer business and marketing objectives, and leading stakeholder management. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, or related fields, fluency in English and Dutch, and a proven ability to strategically assess and achieve client success. Knowledge of online marketing, strong communication and storytelling skills, and experience with performance marketing are highly valued.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and promoting.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Netherlands, and consistently achieve goals to drive growth.

  • Lead stakeholder management, and build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
