The Senior Accounts Receivable Manager will lead and manage an AR team, drive the Accounts Receivable process, oversee payment applications, handle client billing concerns, and ensure client satisfaction. Responsibilities include designing collection strategies, supervising payment processes, and developing escalation protocols. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced environment. The company also provides a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Proven leadership and team management
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel

DESCRIPTION:

MRI Software is looking for a dynamic Senior Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Cape Town, South Africa team. This role involves overseeing a talented group of Accounts Receivable analysts, Payment Application specialists, and Accounts Receivable Coordinators. The successful candidate will drive all aspects of the Accounts Receivable process, lead strategic departmental projects, enhance team efficiency, and ensure outstanding client support and satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the AR team, providing guidance, support, coaching and training to ensure high performance.

  • Design and execute collection strategies to minimize outstanding receivables.

  • Supervise processes related to application of incoming payments, client account suspensions, deactivations and reconciliations.

  • Act as primary point of contact for high-level client billing concerns, develop and implement escalation protocols to address disputes and escalations effectively.

  • Foster a collaborative environment to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Min of 5-10 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, credit management, or a related field is required.

  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing team members.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Knowledge of Intacct, NetSuite, or Salesforce is not necessary but is preferred.
