We’re currently seeking a Senior Cloud Architect for a globally renowned video game company located in Santa Monica, CA. This hybrid role offers the exciting opportunity to collaborate with a creative, innovative team at the forefront of the gaming industry.

As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs while ensuring scalability and performance are never compromised. You’ll work closely with internal development teams to identify and implement strategies that drive cost-efficiency, enhance cloud resource utilization, and support the company’s mission of delivering exceptional gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the analysis of current cloud expenses and usage patterns to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize cloud resource allocation and ensure efficient usage.
• Develop and implement cost management strategies, including rightsizing and optimizing storage solutions.
• Monitor and report on cloud costs, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Partner with DevOps and Infra engineers to optimize the internal Kubernetes platform.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and cost management tools to implement best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Significant experience working with large-scale cloud systems and cloud billing optimization, preferably with major providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex billing data and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
• Experience with optimizing Kubernetes applications.
• Proficiency in automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Go, or Python for cost optimization.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including ArgoCD.
• Experience as a software architect or familiarity with software development.
• Experience with cloud observability tools and dashboarding, such as Grafana.
• Basic understanding of financial principles and cost accounting related to cloud services.
• Ability to troubleshoot and update Excel or Google Sheets reports related to cost reporting.

To qualify for our benefits package, candidates must work over 30 hours per week, with a minimum assignment duration of 10 weeks.
