SimCorp is seeking a Senior Global Resource Manager for a maternity cover position. The role is crucial for ensuring smooth and effective processes around consultant allocation and utilization within the Professional Services team. Responsibilities include collaborating with project owners on resource needs, evaluating consultants, managing external partners, contributing to resource forecasting, monitoring utilization, maintaining a resource database, facilitating communication, and participating in process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in resource or project management within Professional Services, proficiency in resource management tools like Workday or Zimit, strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, and excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.

At SimCorp, we facilitate the streamlining of investment decisions, accounting, and operations for major global financial institutions through IT systems, processes, and financial knowledge. Implementing our software through high-quality projects is at the core of our work. The Professional Services team is responsible for onboarding clients to SimCorp’s solutions and services.

The role of a Resource Management Officer is essential in the Resource Management Office, ensuring smooth and effective processes around the allocation and utilization of consultants in Professional Services. We operate with local internal and external consultants in EMEA, APAC and the Americas, supported by Global Delivery Centres in Warsaw, Manila and Mexico. Working collaboratively with PS project managers and various global teams, the Resource Management Office ensures the allocation of the right resources at the right time to meet project requirements. Moreover, they will actively contribute to resource forecasting, conflict resolution, and continuous process improvement initiatives. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

  • Resource Allocation and Scheduling: Collaborate with project owners on project requirements, timelines, and resourcing needs. Evaluate potential consultants and align with project demands, considering skills, expertise, availability, and project priorities.  
  • Partner Management: Collaborate with Partners to source external consultants as required. Work with the Procurement team to secure the most appropriate candidate.  
  • Resource Forecasting: Contribute to resource demand forecasting by analyzing historical data, project pipelines, and industry trends. 
  • Resource Utilization: Monitor and track utilization and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.  
  • Resource Database Management: Maintain an accurate and current centralized resource database utilizing Zimit, Workday and Power BI. Monitor and generate reporting on resource allocation and utilization to identify conflicts like overbooking or resource shortages early and support decision-making. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project managers, department heads, and the Resource Management Office. Facilitate regular meetings with relevant stakeholders, providing updates on resource availability, allocation and utilization.  
  • Continuous Improvement: Consistently participate in Resource Management process improvement initiatives. Offer feedback and recommendations to enhance resource management practices, tools, and methodologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 2+ years of experience in resource management, project management, or a related role within a Professional Services environment.  
  • Proficiency in resource management software and tools. Experience with either Workday or Zimit is beneficial.  
  • Experienced with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of PowerBI is beneficial. 
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing in English  
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Detail-oriented and organized. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across departments. Service mindset.  
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
