The Senior Manager, International Benefits Projects role involves leading the design and execution of international benefits and leaves strategies for over 12,000 employees across 24 countries. This position requires a strategic approach to harmonizing benefits, overseeing project implementation, managing change, and ensuring employee communication. Responsibilities include project management, risk mitigation, and collaboration with various teams to optimize international benefits offerings and maintain market competitiveness. The role is a fixed-term position for 2 years. The candidate will report to the Director, International Benefits, and requires a blend of strategic and tactical skills.
Must have:
  • 9+ years of experience in related field

The Challenge

The Senior Manager, International Benefits Projects role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking global benefits team within a world-leading video game company, supporting over 12,000 employees in 24 countries. This is a key role in shaping and executing the benefits and leaves strategy outside of North America.  You’ll drive innovation, enhance consistency and improve efficiency through the design and delivery of complex projects that optimize our International benefits and leaves offerings across our studios and labels. At the same time, you’ll help ensure our programs remain competitive in the marketplace.  This hands-on and highly collaborative position requires both strategic insight and tactical execution – from program design and implementation to employee communication and education that clearly conveys the value of our benefits.  Reporting to the Director, International Benefits, you will lead benefits and leaves projects requiring strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities and influence senior stakeholders.

 

NOTE: This is a 2 year fixed term position that will be eligible for all benefits

 

What You’ll Take On

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of benefits and leaves projects, which includes:
    • Contribute to benefits harmonisation strategies that support business goals while ensuring alignment across labels.
    • Oversee project implementation, ensuring vendors and key teams (e.g., Project Management, People Operations, local HR, Finance, Payroll, and Legal) deliver assigned tasks on time and within scope.
    • Manage change effectively, troubleshoot issues and escalate as necessary. 
    • Manage project planning and prioritisation, setting timelines, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans as needed to respond to shifting priorities.
    • Identify and communicate project risks and dependencies to senior stakeholders, offering mitigation strategies to support informed decision-making.
    • Collaborate with Internal Communications and benefits team colleagues to develop clear, simple and engaging employee communications.
    • On completion of projects, manage detailed and accurate handover of ongoing operations and support to benefits team colleagues.
    • Serve as a strategic problem-solver and escalation point for complex issues that might arise due to compliance or other issues, and which improve efficiency and employee experience.
    • Provide advice and guidance to benefits team members and other stakeholders on complex matters related to project programs and policies.
    • Assist with North American and/or global benefits projects as needed.

 

 

What You Bring 

  • At least 9 years of experience in a related field, 5 of which spent managing international benefits programs including pension, medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, EAP, life, disability, business travel accident, leave and time off policies, back-up childcare, fitness allowance, meal allowance, commuter benefits.
  • Solid experience in a fast-paced environment, overseeing multiple complex projects, guiding project stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Track record of exercising independent judgement and developing solutions to issues arising with in-flight projects.
  • Familiarity with statutory requirements, regulations governing benefit plans and programs, and customary offerings in the international countries in which we operate.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and regional differences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Must be detail-oriented with a high-touch collaborative approach, taking ownership of keeping track of, following up on and closing out open items.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexible, adaptable and a strong team player
  • High level of proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experience with Workday HRIS is a plus.
  • Ability to travel when needed.
