We’re building a culture based on learning and creating meaningful experiences for our customers. We are seeking multi-skilled Sr. Product Designer with a mastery of visual design, experience design, interface construction, branding, and storytelling. We’re looking for a designer who’s driven by empathy for customers, and the desire to carry ideas from rough ideas to launch. The right candidate works independently and is a passionate collaborator with other design teams, engineering teams and marketing groups.  

Finally, this designer defaults to a making and building mindset – when in doubt we build something and test it. Embracing quick prototyping and testing is a must.  

• Contributes to design’s direction for area of accountability and executes design set by others 

• Leads design on a product with moderate to high visibility, risk, and/or complexity 

• Develops talent as a manager, mentor, onboarding buddy, coach, and sets the standard for excellent design  

• Holds bar for craft across design, PM and Engineering within a major product area  

• Contributes and partners with other major area leaders to ensure product coherence, erasing organizational boundaries from the experience 

• Embrace and lead across all of culture models (e.g., demonstrates customer obsession) 

• Contributes to broader MAI team culture (e.g., mentorship, onboarding buddy, team morale, ERGs/clubs) 

• Understands and acts upon their role in creating a Diversity and Inclusion workplace at Microsoft  

• Balances actively working on the details and finding time to step back at the bigger picture of the product  

• Crafts a story around the WHAT, WHY and HOW for their ideas, while demonstrating via work rather than just words
