Job Description

The Senior Trainer – L&D at Lakshya Digital designs, develops, and delivers high-quality soft skills and behavioral training programs. Responsibilities include creating engaging learning content (e-learning modules, presentations), managing the LMS (Moodle), collaborating with stakeholders to identify training needs, and working with external vendors. The role requires proficiency in e-learning tools (Articulate Storyline, Canva, Camtasia), strong communication and facilitation skills, and experience in instructional design. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in L&D, with at least 3 years as a trainer.

About the Role:

The Senior Trainer – L&D is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality soft skills and behavioural training programs. This role involves creating learning content, including e-learning modules, and managing the administration of the LMS.

As a learning ambassador, the Senior Trainer fosters a strong learning culture by collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders to identify training needs. Also work with external vendors to align learning objectives and oversee end-to-end training coordination. Additionally, drive and facilitate training programs both internally and externally, ensuring effective execution and engagement.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

A.     Content Development & Learning Design

  1. Design and develop engaging, interactive training content, including e-learning modules, presentations, guides, and job aids.
  2. Utilize e-learning tools such as Articulate Storyline, Canva, Camtasia, and others to create high-quality learning materials.
  3. Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to simplify complex concepts and make learning accessible.
  4. Deploy, test, and manage training content on Lakshya’s LMS (Moodle) to ensure a seamless learner experience.
  5. Monitor and analyse training completion rates, learners’ engagement, and feedback to enhance content effectiveness.
  6. Continuously update and optimize learning materials based on evolving business needs and industry best practices.

B.      Training Delivery & Facilitation

  1. Conduct both virtual and in-person training sessions, ensuring high engagement and knowledge retention.
  2. Apply interactive training techniques, including role-playing, case studies, and scenario-based learning.
  3. Adapt training styles to accommodate different learning preferences and audience needs.
  4. Evaluate learner performance and training effectiveness using assessments, feedback, and post-training analysis.

C.    Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration

  1. Stay up to date with industry trends, adult learning principles, and emerging learning technologies to enhance training effectiveness.
  2. Collaborate with business leaders, HR, and other stakeholders to assess training needs and develop learning solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  3. Engage with external vendors to drive learning objectives and ensure the quality of outsourced training programs.
  4. Collect feedback from learners and stakeholders, using insights to improve training content and delivery.
  5. Support learning initiatives that foster a culture of continuous development across the organization.
  6. Periodical reporting on training programs status, risks, mitigation, efficacy and assist stakeholders in decision making.

D.   Required Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Proficiency in e-learning development tools (Articulate Storyline, Canva, Camtasia, etc.).
  2. Hands-on experience with LMS platforms, preferably Moodle, and SCORM-compliant content.
  3. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for content creation and reporting.
  4. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong attention to details and administrative abilities, analytical mindset, and ability to measure training effectiveness.
  6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under tight timelines.

E.    Education & Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor’s degree is mandatory; a degree in Psychology, Social Science, HR, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Minimum 7 years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, or a related field, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Trainer.
  3. Certifications in e-learning tools, instructional design, or training methodologies (preferred).

F.    Other Requirements:

  • Open to travel on short notice. Overall, travel needs are moderate.
  • This is Work from office only position (5 days a week).
