Job Summary

Job Description

This role involves creating high-quality lighting for characters, environments, and props to enhance mood, atmosphere, and visual storytelling. The Lighting Artist will collaborate with the Head of CG, Lighting Lead, CG Supervisors and other artists to achieve the desired look and feel, implementing lighting using industry-standard software. Responsibilities also include ensuring efficient lighting setups that meet performance requirements, creating color keys and lighting passes, and troubleshooting lighting-related technical and artistic issues. The artist is expected to follow production pipelines and meet deadlines. The position requires proven experience in feature films or similar, a strong artistic eye, understanding of physical dynamics, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Details

  • Create high-quality lighting for characters, environments, and props to enhance mood, atmosphere, and visual storytelling.
  • Work closely with the Head of CG, Lighting Lead, CG Supervisors and other artists to achieve the desired look and feel.
  • Implement lighting using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure lighting setups are efficient and meet performance requirements (especially for real-time projects).
  • Create color keys and lighting passes as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve lighting-related technical and artistic issues.
  • Follow production pipelines and meet deadlines.

  • Proven experience as a Lighting Artist in Feature films etc
  • Strong artistic eye and a deep understanding of physical dynamics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Work type: WFO and WFH both are available, if the candidate is out of Chennai.
