About This Role

                                                                                                         

Join CAE’s new training centre in Athens as a simulator technician, working on the most advanced aircraft simulators in the world. You’ll work with a team of technicians as we deliver maintenance and modifications for some of the most advanced aircraft simulators in the world.

You’ll be part of a team carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on A320, B737, and ATR 72-600 simulator systems, diagnosing issues and ensure a high level of availability for our customers.

This is an exciting new venture to work in our newly opened training centre in Athens, building on our long history of aviation training around the world. Join our new team as we expand and grow, providing you with continual opportunity for personal and professional growth.

The role we are offering you

  • Performing software modifications and subsequent tests, as well as assisting engineering team with design changes and software enhancements

  • Ensuring maintenance activities are tracked consistently in our maintenance management system

  • Performing pre-flight and post-flight activities and checks, including visual alignment, running & evaluating Qualification Test Guide (QTG) results

  • Providing oversight on the preparation of simulators for regulatory evaluations

  • Supporting our customers directly to identify and resolve issues affecting availability

  • Supporting logistics including parts received, repairs, and testing & validation

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Direct experience with simulators and simulator systems (maintenance, fault finding, defect resolution) is beneficial but not essential

  • Background working in either electrical, avionic, or computer systems engineering roles.

  • Degree qualification or equivalent level of training/qualifications in relevant engineering field

Shift pattern:

4 on, 4 off (4 day shifts, followed by 4 night shifts) (subject to change depending on work load - roster given in advance)

You’ll need to have sound judgement and the ability to make decisions, react quickly, and embed CAE’s company culture amongst a new team.
