Job Description

As a Software Quality Senior Engineer at Boomi, you will be responsible for testing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer's business goals and needs. You will collaborate with various teams on testing new product features and enhancements across Boomi offerings. Key responsibilities include being a key member of an Agile team, gathering information for acceptance criteria, applying technical skills to manual and automated tests, reviewing test cases, executing tests, communicating results, and improving quality assurance practices. You will also provide impact analysis and regression testing for software changes. The role involves working on the Software Engineering (Data Integration) team.

Must have:

Experience with SQL and relational database systems.
Strong knowledge of Application Integration and/or Data Integration.
Experience with planning and executing non-functional tests and API testing.
Review test cases and procedures to ensure coverage.
Execute testing and communicate results accurately.
Knowledge in Defect Lifecycle and Defect Management tools.

Good to have:

Background in Computer Science.
Familiarity with highly scalable web applications and backend systems.
Familiarity using AWS technologies and products.

Software Quality Senior Engineer

Location - Bangalore

Join us as a Software Quality Senior Engineer on our Software Engineering (Data Integration) team in Bengaluru to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact.

What you'll achieve

As a Software Quality Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for testing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer's business goals, needs and general business environment. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on testing new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.

You will:

Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the Software development lifecycle.

Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria, be a user advocate, and be comfortable challenging and discussing the intent of stories to surface edge cases and improve outcomes.

Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of QA, including manual and automated functional and integration tests and the setup of production-like environments.

Essential Requirements

5 to 7 Years of overall experience.

Strong experience with SQL and relational database systems (example Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB)

Strong knowledge of Application Integration and/or Data Integration (ETL) domain

Experience with planning, designing and executing non-functional tests (performance, load, stress) and API testing

Review test cases and procedures to ensure coverage of and conformance to business requirements.

Execute testing as required & according to test plan and project goals. Communicate testing progress and results in a timely and accurate manner.

Review and continually improve quality assurance practices, including creation and update of documentation related to quality assurance processes and guidelines.

Provide impact analysis and regression testing of software changes.

Knowledge in Defect Lifecycle and Defect Management tools like JIRA.

Desirable Requirements

Background in Computer Science

Familiarity with highly scalable, high throughput web applications and backend systems

Familiarity using AWS technologies and products.
