We’re currently seeking a talented Sr. Copywriter with health-related writing experience to join our client’s team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This hybrid role requires on-site presence one day per month (mandatory), with a preference for candidates open to being on-site one day per week or every two weeks. This position plays a key role in crafting compelling, compliant content for Medicare Advantage plans and other health-focused initiatives.
In this role, you will develop clear, engaging copy across multiple platforms while ensuring all content meets regulatory and accessibility standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create materials that simplify complex healthcare topics, making them relatable and accessible to a broad audience. Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging content for a variety of platforms, including brochures, direct mail, emails, infographics, video scripts, landing pages, and social media.
- Develop compliant, accessible copy about Medicare Advantage plans, ensuring all materials meet regulatory standards and the city’s requirement for a 5th-grade reading level.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging aligns with brand guidelines, objectives, and compliance standards.
- Simplify complex healthcare topics, translating them into clear, actionable content tailored to the target audience.
- Assist with additional writing needs as required across the organization, supporting broader health-related communications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience writing for the healthcare industry (e.g., health insurers, Medicare/Medicaid, government healthcare services).
- Experience with Medicare Advantage communications or similar health insurance products is highly desirable.
- Technical writing experience in the healthcare space is a plus.
- Expertise in writing across multiple formats, including print, digital, and social media.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to translate complex healthcare/insurance topics into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
