We’re currently looking for Systems Engineer to support our SV Lab in Santa Clara, CA (Onsite).

Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support.
- Monitors incoming support tickets raised from business users or raised as a result from automation defects.
- Troubleshoot issues related to automation tools, processes, and infrastructure.
- Respond to support tickets, inquiries, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues through analysis, troubleshooting and collaboration with business analyst, process owners, and key stakeholders.
- Determines root cause of incidents (configuration vs. defect).
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and address technical challenges.
- Provide technical leadership. Recognized authority for the organization and recognized expert in multiple disciplines.
- Draw up, maintain blueprint of the information system for which he/she is responsible, and ensure the permanent integrity of the map of information system in relation to the master plan.
- Adhere to existing enterprise standards and guidelines. Develop architecture artifacts, such architectural patterns and high level designs.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to development teams. Define solution architecture for challenging and complex scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages) to streamline routine tasks and workflows.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Maintain the existing VMware infrastructure while supporting a myriad of applications utilized by the lab.
- Responsible for end users support of workstations and computing assets.
2. Monitoring and Maintenance.
- Generate and analyze support and performance metrics to ensure smooth operation and identify potential issues.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of operation workflows to identify areas of optimization and improvement.
- Implement changes and updates to solutions as needed to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Monitors process monitoring dashboards regarding logs, run-time resources, license optimization, etc.
- Responds to anomalies in automation performance by triaging anomalies, identifying suspected root cause, and dispatching to pertinent support party(s).
- Performs small code changes or fixes to resolve issues.
- Monitors incoming support tickets raised from business users or raised as a result from automation defects.
- Troubleshoot issues related to automation tools, processes, and infrastructure. Respond to support tickets, inquiries, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues through analysis, troubleshooting and collaboration with business analyst, process owners, and key stakeholders.
- Determines root cause of incidents (configuration vs. defect).
- Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes through capacity planning & sizing exercises
3. Incident and change management.
- Document incident details, resolutions and lessons learned for future reference through the authorized platform.
- Forwards higher complexity issues to relevant teams.
- Assists with production requests, like asset changes, credentials, schedule changes, etc.
- Assess change requests and assess their impact on existing solutions, infrastructure, and business processes, driving recommendations to the team.
- Lead Day-To-Day IT Operations, infrastructure services support, hardware & software asset management
- Demonstrable technical expertise in deploying MS applications, operating systems, and its migrations.
- Act as an escalation point for EUC related tasks which involves but not limited to
- Laptop/Desktop Installation, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Patch management of managed systems.
4. Continuous Improvement.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and advancements in automation technologies.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation.
- Automation should be a key driver and the development & testing should be automated through frameworks / tools.
5. Compliance and Security.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standards and policies governing automation implementation and data privacy.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and address technical challenges.
- Own and drive the architecture for a project / product.
- Sound experience in defining, presenting and articulating solution architecture. Experience in conducting architecture reviews. Familiar with architect review processes.
- Must be able to design the end to end architecture for software engineering projects.
6. Documentation.
- Develop and Maintain documentation for standards, best practices and troubleshooting procedures.
- Create knowledge base articles and training materials for users and support employees.
- Ensure that documentation and Key Performance indicators are up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to Linux systems and AWS services.
- Implement and manage patch management and configuration management tools
- Administration of physical and virtualization environment.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project initiatives and deliver integrated solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Security or related field.
- Postgraduate degree – Desirable.
- 4-6 years of experience with system support/development and/or virtualization technologies.
Required Skills:
- Experience with agile development and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Experience with VMware.
- Experience with Linux environment.
- Experience with Mac and MDM (mobile device management).
- Deep technical skills on Core technologies - DNS, DHCP, etc.
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge LAMP stack.
- Expertise with Nutanix/Rubrik/InTune/AWS.
- Proficient in creating flowcharts, process flows and data flow diagrams
- Experience with cross-regional teams.
- Experienced in Intune infrastructure
- Experienced in Linux/Mac/Windows image deployment & management.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders, gather requirements and provide technical support.
- Excellent understanding of distributed computing paradigm
- Exposure to the Solution/Enterprise/Research Architect space with at least few complex projects as an architect is a plus

Salary Range:
$87,978.00 - $198,752.00
